It's so encouraging to look and see you have 150+ favs, 20 some comments and a doubled pageview count! All in one day! CRAZY! Thanks everyone for their encouragement! It makes me want to do more.

Description

I've been kinda bummed out lately because Sr. year isn't exactly turning out the way I thought it was... yesterday, they didn't do my favorite of the Homecoming pep-fests because last year there was too much "girl drama". I had been looking foreward to that almost since freshman year... instead they just boringly announced the court over the intercom... what's the fun in that? It's highschool! There will be girl drama no matter what!!

Well, I made this to get out my angst about them smashing my hopes and dreams. The purple one is Chloe and the red angry one is Maverick... This took me fooooorrrreeeevvveeeerrrr because the stupid program kept "Unexpectedly Closing"! I thought Macs weren't supposed to do that? Guess I was wrong...

Daily Deviation

Given 2007-01-09

The furious hater and his gigantic dream-annihilating hammer notwithstanding, :smashdreams: by ~Daylight-at-Midnight is really a very optimistic piece. It's also vibrant, expressive, and expertly animated. I particularly love how the loop (which often ends up looking tacked-on) gives a whole new depth to the theme by suggesting we take the broken pieces and rebuild our dreams. (Featured by `livius)

Wow. Another brilliant concept excellently executed. The looping -- how she jigsaws her dream back together -- is nothing short of genius. I love the Looney Tunes oversized hammer too.

I'm not sure about the 17 x 17 dimensions. I'm not a fascist about 15 x 15 -- I adore =Unmentionables oversized marvels -- but I do prefer a smooth circle, and this particular proportion looks a little triangular around the edges for my taste.

Another great piece, Daylight-at-Midnight.

Thank you! It kinda bugs me when emoticons don't loop well, so I strive to bring it about smoothly. This loop sort of brings another meaning to it... "smash my dreams and I will put them back together again" sort of thing.

I know what you mean about the dimensions. The other ones I did, I traced the circle over some other ones, but with this one, I didn't have any others handy, so I just guessed. Guess I guessed wrong... I may fix it if I have time.

^_^ The hammer was only made that big so it would smash the entire dream... Otherwise I don't think it would be as effective...
