Artist's Comments

My brother found a little female house sparrow in the middle of the road the other day and decided we were her savior. So we took care of it for a few days and then gave it to a neighbor boy that's raised sparrows from birth. I'm not sure how's she's doing, or if she'll even live, but she was really beautiful and I got some really close pictures of her that I'm excited about!

<n>Update: I'm sorry to say that she passed away a few days after we gave her to the boy. I'm sure we couldn't have done any better. She was really out of sorts, so it isn't all that surprising, just a little sad. He says she was really young and probably fell out of her nest before she was ready to go. R.I.P. little one.

How come I never heard about/saw this?? Great close up... Animals are so hard to shoot. Photographically, I mean!

We only had her for about a day.... It's easier when the animal is sick and you're holding it....

They get such a bad rap, but if you've ever gotten to know a house sparrow personally...

They are wonderful little birds, bursting with life and so aware of everything. I am sorry for your loss, though you knew her such a short time. :(
